Job description

We're on the lookout for a Visual Manager to help bring our in-store experience to life - an Architectural Approach To Product. Think effortless style, inspiration from iconic American staples, and displays that feel straight out of California cool. If you've got an eye for detail, a feel for trends, and a love for making things look just right, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
  • Talent Management:
    • Train and develop each team member within the space to align with the Buck Mason Visual standard
    • Organize monthly training seminars with team members focusing on developing and cultivating new ideas and methods to create visual excellence
  • Brand Execution:
    • Execute visual merchandising guidelines across assigned retail store
    • Implement window displays and in-store installations according to company standards and timelines
    • Actively participate with store management team to make the best visual decisions for that store whilst maintaining the company visual standards
    • Partner with the Visual Merchandising Manager, SF to plan and implement floor moves
    • Participate in new store openings across all regions as required
    • Demonstrate awareness of current advertising and marketing campaigns, new product launches and update store visuals accordingly
    • Be relentless with your abilities to craft new visual initiatives, ideas and philosophies to your team
    • Participate in the organization of special in-store events
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure that your craft is your art - maintaining a standard of visuals second to none within our industry
    • Ensure merchandise is treated with dignity and the utmost respect at all times
    • Be aware of your budget and propose effective cost driven ways of creating new thematic outlines within your assigned store.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Communicate visual calendar and priorities to the store teams
  • Partner with the District manager and Visual Manager to schedule monthly store visits
  • Partner with Retail Merchandising to feedback insight regarding local execution

Required Skills:
  • Degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising or related field or equivalent business experience
  • A thirst for knowledge, architecture and design
  • Entrepreneurial / technology driven mindset
  • Knowledge of window installation including painting, how to use power tools and the ability to adapt corporate directives as they pertain to each individual store

Buck Mason designs updated, modern American classics for daily wear. Founded in 2013 by Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen, who were neighbors in Venice, California, they initially set up shop in a 350 square foot garage off Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Using old school manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology, they took an architectural approach to the product with the goal of making fashion less complicated, building each piece to last beyond a single season. Much of their product is made in the USA, where you can often find Sasha and Erik on the factory floor.
