The Store Manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees and Assistant Manager(s). The Store Manager is responsible for the store profits, and all controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages. Expected work week 45-55 hours. Typically, M-F day shifts but will work evenings and weekends as needed.
List of Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is the central objective of the convenience store operation.
  • Assist in the recruiting of and train positive individuals to become members of the team.
  • Promote and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures.
  • Ensure all merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive and safe, and priced correctly.
  • Supervise and discipline all store employees according to company policy
  • Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner.
  • Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily.
  • Conduct store meetings as needed or required with employees.
  • Have the physical ability to perform all duties of a store employee.
  • Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations.
  • Follow and enforce all company policies.
  • Communicate any problems with merchandise pricing.
  • Communicate and work with all store vendors.
  • Report and process all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents.
  • Offer daily, routine, and regular leadership to the store.
  • Handle operational tasks.
  • Create weekly store schedules and adjust as needed.
  • Receive shipment and also ship when the need arises.
  • Ensure the enforcement of health, safety, and security rules.
  • Participate and give direction on the stocking and merchandising.
  • Identify challenges and provide solutions to those challenges.
  • On-call availability and accessibility to handle/cover emergency situations.
Education / Experience:
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • College degree or management certification preferred.
  • Management training and experience required.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Solid and consistent work history
