To manage a trendy design-forward concept store located in downtown Toronto! This role works with cross-functional teams at Global Headquarters to ensure smooth store operations and new product launches while maintaining high customer service standards to achieve targeted productivity and profitability.

What you’ll do to be successful in this role…

Manage Store Operations:
Support all aspects of daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, scheduling associates and managing bi-weekly payroll. Oversee inventory management, including store orders, stock replenishment, and maintaining adequate levels of store supplies. Ensure accurate handling of cash processes such as petty cash and cash envelopes. Maintain organized and functional back-of-house areas including stockroom and breakroom. Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, monitor store communications (voicemail, main contact channels), and ensure store information such as operating hours and systems (e.g., POS, Google listings) are kept up to date.

Drive Sales:
Develop and implement sales strategies and effective action plans to increase sales. Monitor performance through Shopify reports and internal sales trackers, identifying opportunities to improve results. Partner with Marketing to maximize store potential through execution of in-store events, promotional initiatives (e.g., Design Deal of the Week), and development of social media and customer outreach efforts such as sneak peek communications.

Build a Winning Team:
Recruit, train, and motivate retail associates. Lead onboarding processes including delivering store training programs and maintaining welcome packages for new hires. Ensure team compliance and foster continuous development. As a Brand Ambassador, demonstrate leadership and promote a positive brand image by upholding Company goals and values while building a strong, engaged team culture.

Deliver Great Customer Service:
Coach and develop retail associates to provide the highest level of customer service while creating a friendly, professional shopping atmosphere. Ensure the team is knowledgeable on products, promotions, and brand standards to enhance the overall customer experience.

Report on Metrics:
Analyze and report on key business metrics including transactions, sales performance, merchandise trends, and store productivity using tools such as Shopify and internal tracking systems. Provide insights on top and bottom sellers, pricing, and customer behavior to support business decisions and continuous improvement.

Maintain Standards:
Maintain and enforce strong visual merchandising and operational standards including merchandise presentation, window displays, signage, and overall store cleanliness. Conduct regular health and safety inspections and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Oversee general store upkeep, including maintenance of in-store fixtures and equipment, and uphold loss prevention practices to protect company assets and ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.

Requirements

What you’ll bring…
Retail Business Savvy: Solid business acumen with excellent time management and organizational skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS systems and understanding of scheduling systems and sales analytics are necessary; well-developed visual merchandising skills required.

Strong Sales Skills:
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets through customer engagement and employee development with a passion for retail, home fashion and trends.

Leadership and Team-Building Skills:
Lead by example, performing all aspects of retail store work including executing tasks on the sales floor and in the back room; able to stand, walk and lift approximately up to 20 lbs./10 kg as required by business demands; flexible and available to work weekends and evening shifts; strong track record of recruiting, building and retaining a high-performing retail sales team; resourceful with a dynamic and energetic personal style.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Well-developed communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision making skills; polished professional presentation and easily adaptable to different situations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Suggested Education:
Retail Management or Business-related post-secondary education is preferred.

Preferred Experience:
4-6 years' progressive retail/boutique/store management experience including managing a retail sales team and working alongside an owner/operator are preferred
