Hyperbolic Labs

San Francisco, CA โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Job description

Who We Are
Hyperbolic Labs is on a mission to democratize AI by breaking down the barriers to computing power with our Open-Access AI Cloud. By aggregating computing resources across the globe, we offer an innovative GPU marketplace and AI inference service that promise affordability and accessibility for all. As pioneers at the intersection of AI and open-source technology, we believe in an open future where AI innovation is limited only by imagination, not by access to resources. We're looking for forward-thinking individuals who share our passion for making AI universally accessible, secure, and affordable. Join us in building a platform that empowers innovators everywhere to turn their visionary AI projects into reality.
As we prepare for growth after our Series A, our team - led by co-founders with PhDs in AI, Math, and Computer Science - is poised to redefine computing.
About the Role
We're seeking a Head of Operations to own and scale the operational backbone of Hyperbolic during a period of rapid growth. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring that revenue operations, customer operations, supply coordination, and internal execution scale smoothly as the company grows from ~10 to 100+ employees.
You will sit at the center of the business, overseeing end-to-end operations across revenue, customers, and infrastructure. This includes managing billing and invoicing systems, aligning GPU supply with customer demand, and building the operational rigor required to support a global compute marketplace.
You will directly manage and mentor the Business Operations Specialist, supporting execution across finance operations, onboarding workflows, and cross-functional process design. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who can both build scalable systems and step directly into execution when needed.
You will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to execute company priorities, improve cross-functional alignment, and establish the operational infrastructure necessary for Hyperbolic to scale efficiently. Many current workflows are still manual or bespoke, and you will be responsible for implementing scalable processes that improve visibility, consistency, and execution without slowing the company down.
This role is ideal for an experienced operator who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to fast-moving environments, and has successfully scaled early-stage companies through rapid growth.
Who You Are
  • 10-15 years of experience in operations, business operations, or general management within high-growth technology companies
  • Proven experience scaling early-stage companies through rapid growth phases
  • Strong track record owning cross-functional operations across revenue, customers, and internal execution
  • Experience building scalable systems and processes that replace manual workflows
  • Hands-on operator who can execute tactically while driving strategic operational improvements
  • Experience managing and mentoring high-performing operations teams
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and revenue tracking
  • Experience working in cloud infrastructure, marketplace, software, or infrastructure-heavy businesses
  • Experience in AI infrastructure, GPUs, or cloud compute environments is strongly preferred
  • Excellent cross-functional communication, organizational alignment, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing startup environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in cloud infrastructure, GPU compute, AI infrastructure, or marketplace businesses
  • Experience contributing to revenue operations, pricing strategy, or infrastructure cost management
  • Experience building operational systems that support distributed or international scaling
  • Familiarity with early-stage startup environments where ownership is broad and roles evolve quickly
  • Track record of improving operational efficiency, margins, or customer experience in high-growth environments
  • Experience working closely with founders or executive teams in high-urgency settings
What Success Looks Like
  • Hyperbolic scales from ~10 to 100+ employees without operational breakdowns
  • Revenue operations, billing, and invoicing systems are reliable and scalable
  • GPU supply and customer demand are efficiently aligned
  • Customers experience smooth onboarding and ongoing platform operations
  • Clear operational visibility exists across revenue, margin, infrastructure utilization, and key business metrics
  • Cross-functional communication and accountability improve as the company scales
  • Manual workflows are transformed into scalable operational systems and processes
  • The company maintains speed while increasing operational rigor and structure

Hyperbolic is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
