Your Valued Contributions:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Senior Director of Operations (SDO) is responsible for the monitoring and oversight of operations at Alcona Citizens for Health, Inc. This role involves coordinating multiple departments, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring projects and initiatives align with the health center's strategic goals. The SDO works closely with clinical and administrative leaders to enhance patient care, streamline operational efficiency, optimize the quality of services, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Operational Oversight - Lead, manage, and optimize the day-to-day operations of the health center, ensuring that services are delivered effectively and efficiently across all departments in support of the organizational mission and vision
  • Interdepartmental Coordination - Leads and mentors the leadership team to ensure they have the tools and resources to work efficiently with each other, their employees, and organizational partners.
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation - Work closely with leadership team to align operational strategies with organizational goals to be met in a fiscally responsible and patient centered manner. Lead the implementation of key initiatives to improve patient care, operational workflows and service delivery.
  • Project & Budget Management - Lead the planning and execution of key projects and strategies, ensuring timelines, budgets, and resources are managed effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Adherence - Lead efforts to maintain departmental adherence to compliance protocols, reporting any potential issues to the Corporate Compliance Officer as needed. Adheres to organizational rules, regulations, and policies, including but not limited to the AHC Code of Conduct and Compliance policies.
  • Leadership & Development - Lead, mentor and develop a team of departmental and operational staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and professional growth. Perform annual evaluations for direct reports, providing feedback and setting goals.
  • Professional Development & Engagement - Attend/participates in departmental and organizational meetings as required. Represent the organization at state and national learning initiatives, conferences, and industry meetings to stay informed of emerging trends, best practices, and updates related to healthcare operations.
  • Exercises discretion and strict confidentiality of protected health information and safeguards all patient related information at all times.
  • Adheres to organizational rules, regulations, and policies, including but not limited to the AHC Code of Conduct and Compliance policies.
  • Requires preparation and execution of presentations to large groups.
  • Accepts and performs other job-related special projects, duties and responsibilities, as required.

Required Training & Experience:
  • Possesses the ability to secure transportation to allow for reliable and timely work attendance, including when business is required to be conducted at sites other than your primary worksite, which may include a personal vehicle, current State of Michigan driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • Clinical licensure preferred (e.g., RN, CMA)
  • Brings advanced operational leadership expertise, supported by a related bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced experience in operations management.
  • Applies healthcare, ambulatory care, or clinical knowledge to guide effective operational decisions and stakeholder engagement.
  • Leads collaboratively across diverse teams, demonstrating sound judgment, tactful communication, and effective problem-solving.
  • Leverages Microsoft Office and other software and data analytics tools to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for leaders and stakeholders.
  • Develops executive-ready reports, presentations, and visual materials that support decision-making, alignment, and organizational outcomes
