Job description

Are you a dynamic retail leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, smashing sales goals, and delivering an exceptional guest experience? We are looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager to oversee our high-volume convenience store and multi-concept food service operations.

As our General Manager, you aren’t just running a retail store—you are managing a multi-faceted business ecosystem. In addition to our core convenience, fuel, and center-store retail, you will have direct operational and financial accountability for a robust, multi-brand quick-service restaurant (QSR) portfolio embedded right inside your store, including:

  • Church's Chicken

  • DAK's Market original recipes

If you possess a hybrid background in high-volume convenience retail and food service management, this is your opportunity to drive a premier retail destination to the next level. If this sounds like you, complete our CI Profile and submit your application. The CI Profile takes 5-10 minutes and can be completed by going here: https://go.cultureindex.com/p/cxZTujTC7zuOGEhck

Key Responsibilities
  • Dual-Operation Leadership: Drive profitability, brand compliance, and operational excellence across both the convenience retail floor and all in-house food concepts.

  • P&L & Financial Accountability: Manage the full store P&L. Maximize top-line sales growth while maintaining strict controls over labor budgets, inventory shrink, waste, margins, and food costs.

  • Team Development & Culture: Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor a diverse team of Assistant Managers, Cashiers, and Food Service Crews. Cultivate an inclusive, high-energy environment focused on professional growth.

  • Guest Experience: Set the gold standard for guest hospitality. Ensure your entire team delivers fast, friendly, and consistent service so that every guest leaves satisfied.

  • Food Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health department standards, internal QA procedures, food safety protocols, and brand standards for all franchise and internal food programs.

  • Merchandising & Inventory: Execute promotional setups, planograms, and seasonal merchandising strategies. Build strong vendor relationships to keep both the retail shelves and food prep stations fully stocked.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive management experience in high-volume Convenience Stores, Big Box Retail, or Quick-Service Restaurants (QSR). Cross-industry experience in both retail and food is highly preferred.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing teams of 15+ employees, reducing turnover, and developing shift leaders into managers.

  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of retail metrics and food service metrics (COGS, labor percentage, yield tracking, gross profit margins, and inventory turnover).

  • Certifications: Current ServSafe Manager Certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).

  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

What We Offer
  • Highly competitive base salary with an aggressive, performance-driven bonus structure.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) .

  • Substantial internal career advancement opportunities into regional and corporate leadership roles.

  • Employee discounts on food, fuel, and merchandise.
