Job title:            Key Holder

Reports to:       Store Manager

Key Responsibilities:

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • On-boarding: embrace new and promoted employees within the team and promote accelerated productivity
  • Training: provide ongoing formal and informal training on GEOX Service Model, technologies, patents and new company initiatives to foster exceptional performance
  • Evaluating:  use the Performance Tools to share informal and formal feedback for continuous improved performance; share observations with Store Management
  • Great Fun Atmosphere – foster a fun and motivating work environment by building positive relationships & maintaining open two-way communication channels with the team and Head Office

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Service Model Ambassador:

Lead by example

  • Handle complex customer service situations  with a sense of urgency and escalates service issues when appropriate
  • Ensure every team member delivers the GEOX Service Model in every customer interaction in a friendly, helpful and sincere way that results in an exceptional customer experience
  • Resolve customer service discrepancies in a positive and professional manner for a win/win outcome
  • Leverage all customer services to build further loyalty by capturing every customer e-mail to build Benefeet database and offering GEOX@Home where necessary
  • Assign primary and secondary roles for Sales Associates during high and low traffic to ensure efficiency

Visual Merchandising Ambassador:

  • Support all corporate visual directives and maintains those standards throughout the day
  • Maintain a clean and organized store

Brand Ambassador:

  • Passionate and knowledgeable of all GEOX technologies, products and patents
  • Knowledgeable in communicating all aspects of product including store collections, best sellers and seasonal product trends
  • Facilitate all staff learning to confidently and passionately interact with every customer

SALES & STORE OPERATIONS

Sales Analysis:

  • Execute opportunities to maximize sales
  • Accountable for cash office operations including, but not limited to, opening and closing all registers, maintaining accurate count of cash, ordering change, preparing deposits, performing approved key turns and auditing all register paperwork
  • Serves as sales floor MOD in the absence of store management

Inventory Management:

  • Follow, understand and execute all inventory handling procedures in a timely manner, including consolidations, recalls, markdowns and shipment receiving
  • Maintain accurate store inventory including movements, processing damages, mismates, and investigating negative on hands
  • Loss Prevention & Security: follow all operating and cash management policies & procedures to protect store assets and minimize loss, including proper administration
  • Maintain Health & Safety Standards:
  • Follow all health & safety standards to maintain a safe work environment for all staff and customers, including submitting incident reports as required
  • Ensure all stores staff follow ladder safety policy

Store Set-up & Organization:

  • Maintain all areas of the store such as stockrooms, cash desks, communication boards and operational binders to standard
  • Keep all areas of the store organized, including stockrooms, POP storage, bathrooms, and store administration

Communication:

  • Read current and relevant information on staff communication boards
  • Effective email management to share relevant corporate and store information with the store team
  • Participate in management and store meetings to align on sales and operational objectives and achieve budgets

Position Requirements:

                   Minimum 2 years’ experience in the retail industry in a results focused and customer centric retail environment (preferably fashion apparel/footwear)

Education:

                         High School or College Degree or commensurate retail experience

Required Skills:

  • Communication skills - ability to clearly communicate & articulate key ideas and concepts with people at all levels of the business
  • Leadership skills – ability to lead and influence other staff to increase sales performance  and execute other operational tasks
  • Strong computer and system skills – proficiency in Microsoft Excel and POS system
  • Knowledgeable of business and financial concepts - understands key retail performance metrics, and can connect results to business decisions and personal work tasks
  • Organizational skills - can manage multiple tasks to meet objectives and critical deadlines; able to execute to plan.
