Job description

The App Store Product Design Team is responsible for the customer experience across the App Store, serving hundreds of millions of people every day on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Watch, Vision Pro and the web. Our team of designers and researchers design and ship product experiences at a global scale.
We are seeking an exceptional Full Stack Designer who moves fluidly across the full design continuum, from early concept and creative exploration through to high-fidelity execution, prototyping, and close collaboration with engineering on implementation. This is a role for a designer who doesn't stop at the handoff: someone who uses AI-assisted tools to get closer to the build, produce functional prototypes, and reduce the distance between design intent and shipped product.
Description
You will research, concept, ideate, design, and prototype new user experiences across Apple's platforms, bringing clarity and craft to complex product challenges at global scale. You move confidently from concept to execution, and you understand that the handoff to engineering is part of the design, not the end of it.
You leverage AI-powered tools throughout your process, to accelerate research synthesis, generate and evaluate design directions, build more expressive prototypes, and reduce friction between design intent and shipped product. You know when to use these tools to amplify your thinking, and when craft and judgment require a slower hand.
You are a natural collaborator who thrives in a dynamic, critique-driven environment. You communicate design decisions with clarity to cross-functional partners across Engineering, Product Marketing, and Senior Management. You distill highly complex systems into clean, focused solutions and you hold the bar on visual quality, consistency, and detail every step of the way.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of product design experience shipping on Apple platforms or comparable consumer-scale digital products
An excellent portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX, UI, and visual design across mobile, desktop, TV, and web
Deep command of visual and communication design principles, including typography, color, and layout
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Keynote) and comfort adopting new tools as the landscape evolves
Demonstrated use of AI tools as an active part of your design workflow, generative, analytical, or agentic
Ability to use AI-assisted prototyping or development tools to produce functional, testable design artifacts
Experience designing iOS app experiences end-to-end, with working familiarity of iOS development patterns and constraints
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present and defend decisions to cross-functional partners and senior leadership
A deep understanding of the Apple design aesthetic, Human Interface Guidelines, and platform conventions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing and shipping AI-native product experiences, including conversational interfaces, intelligent recommendations, or adaptive UI
Previous experience in an e-commerce or marketplace environment
Familiarity with SwiftUI sufficient to collaborate with engineering on interaction feasibility and implementation tradeoffs
Familiarity with spec-driven development practices
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
