What is a store design planner?

Store Design Planners are professionals responsible for creating and organizing the layout, aesthetics, and functional flow of retail spaces. They work closely with architects, merchandisers, and store managers to ensure that the store environment is both visually appealing and optimized for customer experience and sales. Their responsibilities include space planning, selecting fixtures and materials, ensuring brand consistency, and complying with safety and accessibility regulations. Store Design Planners often use design software to draft floor plans and collaborate on projects from concept through to completion.

How does a store design planner typically collaborate with other departments during a new store project?

Store Design Planners work closely with multiple teams, including merchandising, operations, construction, and marketing, to ensure that store layouts support both brand identity and operational efficiency. Effective collaboration helps streamline the design process, ensures compliance with company standards, and supports a successful store launch.
