Budtender / Cannabis Retail Associate (Dispensary) – Embr Springfield

Location: Springfield, MA Pay: $17/hour + tips Schedule: Full-time (5 shifts per week) Availability: Mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays required

Job Overview

Embr Springfield is hiring a full-time Budtender / Cannabis Retail Associate to support daily operations in a fast-paced cannabis dispensary. This role focuses on customer service, cannabis sales, and product education while maintaining compliance with all state regulations.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with retail, hospitality, or cannabis dispensary experience who are looking to grow within the cannabis industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and guide customers through cannabis product selections
  • Educate customers on cannabis products, including flower, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
  • Accurately process transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant retail dispensary environment
  • Assist with inventory, restocking, and order fulfillment (in-store and online)
  • Follow all state cannabis regulations and company SOPs
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily dispensary operations
Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 1+ year experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills and cash handling experience
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to meet all state requirements for employment in a cannabis establishment, including obtaining and maintaining active registration with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred:

  • Previous budtender or cannabis dispensary experience
  • Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods
