Store Operations & Merchandisingย 

  • Assist the Boutique Store Manager with daily store operations including opening and closing procedures.ย 
  • Help oversee the processing of donated items including sorting, tagging, pricing, displaying, and organizing merchandise.ย 
  • Ensure merchandise is rotated regularly and that excess or unusable items are disposed of appropriately.ย 
  • Maintain attractive, organized, and safe displays throughout the store.ย 
  • Assist with maintaining inventory levels and stocking merchandise as needed.ย 
  • Support the use of point-of-sale systems and ensure accurate processing of sales transactions.ย 
  • Help maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.ย 

Staff & Volunteer Supportย 

  • Assist in supervising thrift store staff and volunteers during shifts.ย 
  • Help train volunteers and new staff on store procedures and customer service expectations.ย 
  • Support the scheduling of staff and volunteers to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.ย 
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.ย 
  • Communicate concerns, successes, or performance issues to the Boutique Store Manager.ย 

Customer Serviceย 

  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests, donors, and community members.ย 
  • Ensure staff and volunteers maintain professional and welcoming interactions with customers.ย 
  • Address customer concerns and assist in resolving issues when they arise.ย 
  • Promote a positive shopping and donation experience for all visitors.ย 

Financial & Cash Handlingย 

  • Assist with accurate cash handling, register balancing, and adherence to store financial procedures.ย 
  • Follow agency policies regarding petty cash and store revenue handling.ย 
  • Support tracking of sales data and other operational metrics as requested.ย 

Marketing & Store Presentationย 

  • Assist with organizing and displaying merchandise to enhance store appearance and encourage sales.ย 
  • Support promotions, sales events, and community outreach efforts that increase store visibility.ย 
  • Monitor inventory trends and assist in recommending merchandising improvements.ย 

Requirements

ย Qualifications:ย 

  • Requires ability to sit up to 3-7 hours per day with frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, pulling and pushing.ย 
  • Requires ability to keyboard at computer for up to 4 hours per day.ย 
  • Occasionally may be required to lift items up to 10 pounds to a height up to 6 feet and 11-25 pounds to a height of 3 feet.ย 
  • Occasionally may be required to carry items up to 30 pounds for distances up to 25 feet.ย
