  • Shift: Tues - Saturday: 11AM - 8PM

CW is seeking a hands-on 3rd Shift Assistant Project Manager /Operational Assistant Supervisor. In this role, you'll support the Project Manager with daily operations, help supervise and guide the overnight team, and lead by example by actively participating in stocking duties such as unloading pallets, restocking shelves, rotating products, facing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

  • Assistant with overseeing the night‑shift staff, ensuring shelves are stocked, leveled, and ready for morning business.
  • Assist team members by providing hands‑on guidance, answering questions, and helping them complete tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain open communication with managers and help resolve operational challenges.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, verifying merchandise accuracy, and maintaining proper logs.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy, availability, and proper product rotation (FIFO).
  • Coordinate timely receipt and dispatch of goods and maintain organized back‑stock areas.
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked, labeled correctly, and merchandised neatly for the next business day.
  • Identify inventory gaps, damaged products, or safety concerns and report them promptly.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
  • Provide fast, friendly, and helpful service when interacting with customers or early‑morning staff.

A Day in the Life an Assistant Project Manager:

  • Review shift goals, employee assignments, and any carryover tasks with the Project Manager.
  • Lead a quick team huddle to set priorities and reinforce safety.
  • Oversee stockers and team performance, offering coaching, support, and training as needed.
  • Handle questions, resolve minor issues, and maintain workflow.
  • Assist with unloading deliveries, organizing pallets, and stocking shelves using FIFO standards.
  • Keep shelves and back stock organized, replenished, labeled, and merchandised correctly.
  • Manage break coverage to maintain productivity.
  • Perform quality checks, identify issues like damaged items or inventory gaps, and report concerns.
  • Prepare shift notes for the next supervisor and communicate any unresolved items.
  • Conduct a final walkthrough to ensure cleanliness and task completion.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Minimum of 2- 3 years of experience working in a grocery store, warehouse, or similar setting as a Stocker, Sales Associate, Warehouse
  • Minimum of 2- 3 years of team lead or supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory processes such as receiving, stocking, rotation (FIFO), and back‑stock organization.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse or retail environment.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid Real ID
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Lifting & Material Handling: Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull 30–50 lb merchandise, with occasional heavier items requiring team‑lift support.
  • Standing & Walking: Remain on feet for up to 8 hours per shift, moving continuously throughout sales floors, back‑room areas, and warehouse spaces.

  • Manual Dexterity: Use hands for writing, typing, scanning, cutting boxes, and handling small tools or merchandise. Perform repetitive motions associated with stocking, sorting, and product handling.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate pallet jacks, rolling carts, U-boats, and other basic warehouse equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Temperature Exposure: Work in environments with fluctuating temperatures, including refrigerated coolers and freezer sections for short or extended periods. Transition between warm receiving docks and cold storage areas as part of nightly tasks.
  • Noise & Environmental Conditions: Work in environments with moderate to high noise levels, including machinery, pallet movement, PA announcements, and delivery activity. Navigate busy back‑room areas with moving equipment, stacked pallets, and variable lighting.
  • Chemical & Odor Exposure: Occasionally handle or work near cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, or maintenance products. Encounter strong product odors (e.g., detergents, produce, seafood) as part of routine stocking.
  • Mobility & Team Assistance: Provide physical assistance to team members when appropriate, including helping with lifting, positioning pallets, or completing physically demanding tasks. Support employees with varying physical abilities in completing their assigned duties safely.
  • Cognitive Focus & Situational Awareness: Maintain continuous awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents, ensure safety, and identify hazards. Prioritize tasks effectively during fast‑paced overnight operations with shifting demands. Monitor product quality, shelf conditions, and inventory accuracy with strong attention to detail.
