Assistant Store Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, credit functions, and team performance. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring credit compliance, developing team members, and delivering a high standard of customer service. The Assistant Store Manager plays a key leadership role in fostering accountability, professionalism, and a positive, results-driven store environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Support overall store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance expectations
โ€ข Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational, sales, and customer service goals
โ€ข Provide performance feedback and assist with employee relations, including coaching and disciplinary actions as needed
โ€ข Supervise store operations and staff in the absence of the Store Manager
โ€ข Ensure a high-quality customer experience through professional service, showroom presentation, and active merchandising support
โ€ข Assist with showroom organization, product placement, and maintaining clean, sales-ready displays
โ€ข Drive sales growth through customer engagement, promotional support, and community involvement
โ€ข Support sales activities, including assisting customers and ensuring team execution of the company sales model
โ€ข Oversee credit and collection processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws
โ€ข Assist with customer account management, contract negotiation, and documentation accuracy
โ€ข Maintain financial controls, including cash handling, payment processing, deposits, and recordkeeping
โ€ข Ensure proper handling of customer information in compliance with privacy regulations
โ€ข Support administrative functions, reporting, and daily store organization
โ€ข Maintain a safe, organized work environment and assist with operational tasks, including light merchandise handling as needed
