Civil Structural Engineer


Location: Tarsco – Spring, TX (Remote option available for highly qualified candidates)


Tarsco, a leading provider of customized storage tank and specialty steel structure solutions, is seeking a skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. As part of the engineering group, you will support projects from conceptual design through execution, ensuring the structural integrity and performance of foundations for storage tanks, ASME pressure vessels, and related steel structures. Role Overview

The Civil Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and technical oversight of foundation systems used in large-scale industrial storage and steel structure applications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, experience with industry standards, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and geotechnical partners. Remote work may be considered for candidates with significant relevant experience.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and analysis of shallow and deep concrete foundations for storage tanks, ASME pressure vessels and other steel structures.
  • Review and interpret soil reports and interact with customers and geotechnical companies.
  • Provide foundation design calculations, specifications, and field support.
  • Coordinate work with sales, estimating, project management, detail designers and foundation subcontractors.


Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Structural Engineering and/or Civil Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited school.
  • Experience in civil structural engineering / foundation engineering.
  • Professional Engineering registered is preferred.
  • Familiar with ACI / ASTM / API Codes and Standards.
  • Must have experience with storage tank and pressure vessel foundations.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
