Job description

Facility Manager – Dayton 

Valicor Environment Services is looking for a Facility Manager at our Dayton, Ohio facility. 

The Facility Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a wastewater treatment facility that manages hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This role provides overall leadership for daily operations, regulatory compliance, maintenance, and staff management while ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations. 

.  Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily procedures of facility operations, equipment and personnel
  • Training and Performance Management of team members 
  • Ensure that the facility meets all Environmental Regulatory Compliance requirements
  • Ensure that the plant meets all Environment, Health, Safety and Security Standards
  • Management of P&L reporting, variance explanations and forecasting
  • Process, track, and approve all AP invoices
  • Lead Supply Chain to improve delivery, cost and quality of purchased goods
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Provide coverage for plant operations as required


Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to be hands-on or strategic, depending on the business necessity 
  • Ability to utilize computer-based management systems efficiently
  • Proficiency in treating oily wastewater and basic Chemistry
  • Understanding of P&L Statements as well as ability to properly budget and forecast
  • Ability to support company Health & Safety programs
  • Understanding of Environmental Compliance related to industrial wastewater operations
  • Familiarity with fleet management, DOT regulations, and logistics
  • Ability to coach and develop team members at varying performance levels
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ Management Experience
  • Previous experience with management of industrial wastewater & air permits, RCRA & Haz Waste Classification
  • Budget and Forecast management 
  • Degree preferred in relative field, but not required
  • Environmental Compliance
