Location:Village of Tanglewood, an Independent Living senior community  

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr. - $19.50/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | Rotating Weekends

Must be able to work holidays and weekends as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate schedules to ensure proper cleaning of offices, public areas, residences, and common areas.
  • Plan and schedule cleaning programs, including annuals, move-in preparations, and window and carpet cleaning.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order necessary equipment and supplies, and ensure safe handling and storage.
  • Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning duties, including floors, restrooms, kitchens, resident laundry, and apartments.
  • Help with the make-ready of vacant apartments as assigned.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment, ensure staff follow all safety standards and applicable health codes, and promptly report safety and security incidents.
  • Ensure proper control of keys, equipment, supplies, inventory, and other property.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
  • Perform duties of other housekeeping staff in the event of absenteeism and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years of related experience; housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with seniors.
  • Ability to implement cleaning programs, complete checklists, and maintain work records and reports.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to direct the work of others in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
