Hours per Shift: 36

Experience: Minimum 2 years

License: Registered Nurse license required

Certifications: ACLS and BLS required

Must-Have: Telemetry Step-down Experience

Description: General information about the unit:

  • Number of Beds: 23
  • Number of Staff: 9
  • Day Shift: 6-7 RNs; 2 Aides
  • Night Shift: 6-7 RNs; 2 Aides
  • Patient Ratios: 4:1
  • Type of Equipment: Bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, subdural drains
  • EMR: Meditech

Typical hiring profile:

  • Skill Set Most Recruited for: Must have telemetry step-down experience; candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
  • Preferred or Nice to Have: Neuro experience and trauma experience.
  • Typical procedures performed on the unit include chest tubes and EEGs.

Floating Area(s): All inpatient units, including ICU.

Dress Code: No specific scrub color; professional attire required.
