Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)
Indianapolis, IN

Overview:
Our outpatient dialysis center in Indianapolis is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of chronic outpatient dialysis experience. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care throughout the dialysis process while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
    • Shift window: 5:00 AM 8:00 PM
  • Competitive pay: $40 $46 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health status and monitor vital signs before, during, and after dialysis
  • Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment to ensure safe and effective treatment
  • Administer medications and manage fluid removal during dialysis sessions
  • Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and self-care practices
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient chronic dialysis nursing experience, including hemodialysis, nephrology, vascular access management, and medication administration
  • Current, unrestricted Indiana RN license (or eligibility for licensure); CNN or CDN certification preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire
  • Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills, with EHR and quality improvement experience preferred
