JOB SUMMARY
The Stone Polisher is responsible for polishing, finishing, and inspecting natural stone, engineered stone, and solid surface countertops to ensure a high-quality finished product. This position uses polishing equipment and hand tools to produce smooth, professional finishes while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are representative of the position but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Polish granite, quartz, marble, and solid surface countertops.
  • Operate polishing equipment and hand tools.
  • Finish edges and seams.
  • Inspect finished countertops for quality.
  • Perform touch-up work before installation.
  • Maintain polishing equipment.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • Assist with production as needed.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience polishing natural stone, engineered stone, concrete, automotive body work, woodworking, or other finishing trades is preferred. We are willing to train mechanically inclined candidates.
  • Ability to use Moraware, or similar software preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standing for sustained periods.
  • Bending or stooping continuously for up to 6 hours.
  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 75 lbs unassisted.
  • Crouching and bending of the body downward and forward.
  • Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, fingers (pinch, grasp).
  • Ability to understand and distinguish speech and workplace sounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Field/Warehouse/Fabrication shop environment.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment required for the job.
  • Exposure to machinery, material handling equipment, dust, and noise.
