Summary:

The Vending Stocker at Martin Inc. is a crucial role responsible for supporting inventory management and ensuring timely delivery of products at a customer site. Working closely with the inventory team, this position involves receiving, inspecting, stocking, and servicing inventory locations within the customer's facility. The Vending Stocker plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, meeting customer needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


Customer Service and Support:

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the VMI coordinator to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide face-to-face account support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • assist customer employees with safety shoe fitting and ordering
  • Deliver products to designated areas within the customer's facility and obtain customer signatures.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-oriented approach in all interactions.


Inventory Management:

  • Unload and break down products by part number, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Verify packing lists for accurate receiving and promptly address any order discrepancies.
  • Stock products in assigned vending machines ensuring proper organization, inventory and labeling.
  • Prepare pick tickets for floor delivery, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
  • Perform day-end routines, including printing invoices and submitting them for customer inventory control.
  • Conduct accurate cycle counts of company assets to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Manage required maintenance on company equipment, ensuring proper functioning.

Requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience in inventory control, preferably in a safety supply setting.
  • Proficiency in order entry and order picking, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Scanner or similar inventory management software.
  • Ability to perform routine lifting and handling of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • General computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office applications.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
