Job description

Position Summary

The Head Stocker is responsible for leading the stocking team and ensuring the sales floor and backroom are fully stocked, organized, and maintained to company standards. This role oversees product replenishment, supports inventory control, and drives efficient execution to ensure the store is ready for customers at all times.

Key Responsibilities Stocking & Merchandising
  • Lead all stocking activities including unloading, breaking down, and stocking deliveries
  • Ensure shelves are consistently full, faced, and organized according to company standards
  • Execute planograms, resets, and promotional displays accurately
  • Maintain clean and properly organized aisles, displays, and backroom areas
Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, train, and coach stockers to meet productivity and quality expectations
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor completion to ensure workload is finished on time
  • Promote a team-focused environment centered on accountability and efficiency
  • Act as a key contact for store leadership regarding stocking operations
Inventory & Backroom Organization
  • Ensure accurate product rotation and proper placement of inventory (FIFO)
  • Maintain an organized backroom for efficient product flow and accessibility
  • Identify out-of-stocks, overstocks, and potential shrink issues
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation processes
Operational Efficiency
  • Monitor productivity and adjust workflow or staffing to meet goals
  • Ensure all deliveries are processed quickly and accurately
  • Support continuous improvement in stocking procedures and efficiency
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce all safety policies, including proper equipment use (pallet jacks, carts, etc.)

Qualifications

Pay Transparency:


Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).  Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. *For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
