Job description

Position Summary:

Chuck Latham Associates (CLA), the leading pet sales and branding agency is building a team of passionate and energetic merchandisers. We are hiring for the position of Assisted Sales Representative (ASR) to promote multiple product lines in specialty retailer stores. The pay for this position will be hourly PLUS mileage/drive time reimbursement and a monthly smart device stipend. This is a professional, part time merchandising position offering monthly flexible hours. 
 
Qualities of a successful Merchandiser:
 
  • Ability to review, plan, and efficiently schedule assigned work to meet deadlines under minimal supervision (self-managed role)
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A willingness to be trained and follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to collaborate & communicate effectively with others
  • Is energetic, reliable, and punctual


 

  • Perform merchandising tasks, including but not limited to compliance checks, improving on shelf availability, POP installs, building incremental displays, cut ins/resets, and educating staff
  • Promote brand awareness and sales by engaging and educating store associates and customers
  • Build and maintain relationships by serving as a liaison between clients, store associates, and management in stores
  • Visit assigned stores monthly within territory, additional workload dependent on surge projects
  • Use smart device while in store to take photos and submit completion surveys
  • Demo opportunities available on a seasonal basis
  • Communicate and collaborate with supervisor on other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:
  • Strong technical skills with smartphone/tablet technology
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule depending on the needs of the business, which may include some weekends on occasion
  • Strong communication skills and is personable to be able to interact with CLA team, store associates, and customers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Quality control by demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by an ability to plan and complete multiple priorities
  • Dependability by consistently completing work on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have a smart device/tablet with access to reliable internet
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes with at least the minimum auto insurance coverage necessary
  • Prior Merchandising experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, walking
  • Ability to lift to 40 pounds.
