Join Our Team as a Manager, Stock Preparation Solutions Sales

Are you a strategic sales leader with a passion for driving customer value? At Valmet, we are looking for a dedicated Manager, Stock Preparation Solutions Sales

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy:

  • Own and execute the North American sales strategy for Stock Preparation solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive order intake, revenue growth, and margin performance across all SPR products and services.
  • Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable sales strategies.
  • Act as a senior sales leader in key customer engagements and strategic opportunities.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and develop a team of sales professionals to deliver consistent performance.
  • Set performance expectations, objectives, and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
  • Support succession planning and capability development.

Sales Process & Governance:

  • Ensure consistent application of CRM, forecasting, and opportunity management processes.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline reviews, and management reporting.
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial approvals.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and project teams to manage risk.

Solution & Portfolio Selling:

  • Lead the team that is responsible for solution-based selling of Stock Preparation technologies including pulping, cleaning, screening, refining, and related systems.
  • Ensure alignment between sales, technology, project execution, and services teams.
  • Support early-stage project development, scope definition, and value proposition development.
  • Promote lifecycle thinking including services, upgrades, and optimization solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Technology, Services, and Sales teams to align engagement and execution.
  • Support global collaboration with product lines and technology teams.
  • Represent Sales in leadership forums and business reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in some combination of paper mill operations and/or managing teams and/or technology/solutions sales.
  • Strong commercial and relationship skills.
  • Understanding of stock preparation processes.
  • Experience leading teams in a matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel within North America.
