Job description

Job Summary (Platform Software Validation Engineer)
- Lead and execute safety, performance, and reliability validation for next-gen automotive ECUs.
- Develop and implement post-silicon bench testing on microcontrollers, including validation of Real-Time Drivers (RTD), System Timer Module (STM), automotive Ethernet chipsets, and bootloaders.
- Define and execute test methodologies compliant with ISO 26262 ASIL functional safety requirements.
- Optimize real-time network stack throughput and performance.
- Architect automated test frameworks using Python; develop target-side test code in C, C++, or Rust as needed.
- Perform hardware validation, including configuring and validating STM, memory protection units, interrupt controllers, and automotive Ethernet PHY/switch drivers.
- Design and execute test strategies for secure bootloaders and flashing routines (via UDS over CAN/Ethernet).
- Validate automotive communication layers and protocols (Ethernet, CAN FD, LIN, UDS).
- Benchmark network throughput and latency using tools such as iperf, CANoe, and hardware packet generators.
- Develop and maintain automated regression test frameworks and target applications for deterministic execution and memory safety.
- Author verification and validation (V&V) test specifications aligned with ISO 26262 safety goals (ASIL B to D).
- Utilize advanced lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers) for signal capture and debugging.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the quality and reliability of embedded automotive software solutions.
- Requires B.S./M.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, hands-on microcontroller and automotive protocol expertise, and strong skills in Python and C.
- (Preferred) Experience with automotive network tools, traffic generators, hardware-in-the-loop setups, advanced debugging, and ISO 26262 code compliance tools.
