STILT WALKING MONSTERS (Knott’s Scary Farm)

Knott's Scary Farm is casting experienced, versatile, and agile STILT WALKERS for the 2026 season.

An ideal candidate is able to comfortably and confidently perform on stilts in a safe manner for extended periods of time while being "in-character" as a KSF Monster.

If you have never walked on stilts before, this is not the audition for you.
This role is compensated at a rate of $18.03/hr.

Our event uses Articulated/Drywall/Painter stilts and those auditioning should have experience performing on this style of stilts. Please bring your own Articulated/Drywall/Painter Stilts to the audition. Please, no peg, powerbocks or jumping stilts.

Please come to the audition with the following:

  • Your own personal stilts (Articulated/Drywall/Painter only)
  • If you do not have your own stilts but have stilt experience, you can still attend the audition however the casting team will need to see video of you performing on stilts. This is required. Please note that casting will prioritize candidates who are able to demonstrate their abilities and perform on their own stilts at the time of the audition.
  • Your Complete Availability From (Aug 24th-Oct 31st)
  • Any Carpool Plans
  • Dressed ready to move and act like a monster, but please come dressed as yourself... NO COSTUMES, MONSTER MAKEUP, OR PROPS... just stilts!
  • Personal belongings are subject to a security check

  • Using your talents to enrich Knott’s Scary Farm’s atmosphere for guests
  • Working as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors
  • Consistently performing your role as scripted and/or conceived
  • Remaining in character while "onstage” and in view of guests and interact with guests while performing in a professional and artistic manner
  • Providing guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
  • Meeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in the Six Flags attendance policy
  • Adhering to the Six Flags Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
  • Performing other duties as they are assigned

  • Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekends nights and holidays
  • Articulated/Drywall/Painter stilt walking experience (required)
  • Ability to commit to multiple days of work per week and adhere to minimum availability requirements
  • Ability to perform in outdoor venues in varying Southern California weather conditions
  • Willingness and ability to wear heavy makeup, wigs and costuming for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, and DMV
  • Ability to provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
