A Stick Pipe Welder is a skilled tradesperson who uses shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), commonly known as stick welding, to join pipes in various industries such as construction, manufacturing, and oil and gas. They work with different types of metals, including carbon steel and stainless steel, to create strong and durable welds that meet safety and quality standards. This role often involves reading blueprints, setting up welding equipment, preparing pipe surfaces, and performing inspections to ensure weld integrity.
