Role Purpose
Advises and provides sub function related operational inputs to develop and finalize the tax plan for a specific unit/key project/Group.
What the role entails
- To adhere, monitor and comply with end-to-end all Income Tax compliances across all group entities.
- Manages MIS and other reporting, statutory compliance related to Direct Taxations.
- Ensure filing of all returns as per prevailing Income Tax laws like ITR / various forms or applications.
- Ensure day-to-day checkpoints on operational Tax Deducted at Source compliances, including but not limited to Monthly TDS computation, Monthly TDS payments, preparing TDS returns and filing TDS returns etc.
- Independently manage, prepares and comply with Tax Audits till finalisation (Incl. Transfer pricing provisions).
- Co-ordinate across all internal departments for any queries and data collection / collation to perform the duties / projects / routine tasks assigned.
- Ensure completion of quarterly and annual Statutory Audit w.r.t. direct tax aspects like Deferred Tax Working, Annual / Expected Tax Rate reconciliations with Books, etc. This activity is for Standalone + Consolidated Financial Statement level.
- Other direct tax compliances like Advance Tax working, Tax Residency Certificate (TRC) / Lower Deduction Certificate (LDC) applications, etc.
- Completion of all assessment / penalty proceedings / appeals at all appellate levels with regards to compliance of all scrutiny / penalty / appeal notices.
- Work closely and maintain healthy relationship with external advisors for complying with Direct Tax Assessment / disputes.
- Identify any areas of automation and take a lead to demonstrate best ways to implement the project successfully.
- Responsible for all any additional works / assignments / projects as assigned by Management / reporting manager / HOD.
What we are looking for in you
- Qualified CA with 3+ years of post-qualification experience into Direct Taxation domain.
- Should possess expert working knowledge of ERP and advanced Excel (Candidate having SAP exposure will have preference).
- Knowledge on direct tax-Domestic + International Transfer Pricing provisions, OECD Guidelines, BEPS Guidelines (Pillar I and Pillar II implementation) and related laws.
- Should be agile and enthusiast to visit plant locations whenever required across various states.
- Any additional experience into Indirect Taxation (GST / Customs, etc) will be considered for future growth and assignment of existing opportunities across group.
