Job description

Sterile Processing Tech at Center/Hospital Name

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

 


Required Skills

High School diploma or GED required
Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program.
CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
Experience with all types of sterilizers.
Knows operating room instrumentation.
Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
Vpro and Medivator experience preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
