Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment

  • Assemble and prepare instrument trays and surgical sets according to procedure requirements

  • Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and safety standards

  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and machinery

  • Maintain accurate instrument tracking and documentation using systems like CensiTrac

  • Inspect instruments for functionality, cleanliness, and defects

  • Collaborate with Operating Room (OR) staff to ensure timely case readiness

  • Manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Follow proper handling and storage procedures for sterile supplies

Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years of Sterile Processing experience (REQUIRED)

  • Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program

  • BLS certification (REQUIRED)

  • CRST or CBSPD certification (REQUIRED)

  • Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and instrument handling

  • Experience working in high-volume surgical settings

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and maintain attention to detail
