Responsibilities
- Serve as scrub technologist for cardiovascular and CT cases; maintain sterile field and assist surgical teams during intraoperative procedures.
- Perform single-scrub assistance for CT cardiovascular cases; support instrument readiness, counts, and sterile technique across multiple procedures.
- Prepare OR environments, equipment, and implants; assist with robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro cases as needed.
- Collaborate with surgeons, circulating nurses, and anesthesia to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow; respond to intraoperative events as directed.
- Float to cover multiple CVOR suites as needed; respond to call requirements; weekend and on-call coverage as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with NBSTSA verification and AHA BLS requirements; participate in ongoing credentialing and quality initiatives.
Requirements
- NBSTSA-certified Scrub Tech (certified scrub tech) and active AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience
- Prior travel assignment experience
- Large teaching hospital experience
- Level 1 trauma center exposure within the last year and at least 1 year of work experience
- Demonstrated single-scrub capability in cardiovascular/CT cases; CNOR preferred
