Job description

The Sterile Processing Technician assumes responsibility for the primary sterilization and decontamination of all instrumentation and equipment according to current recognized and approved standards.  Instrumentation and equipment being processed will encompass items used in the operating room, endoscopy, various nursing units and our clinics.

Minimum Education

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Work Experience

  • One year of healthcare experience preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Certification preferred*

*Opportunity to pursue upon hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of general infection control practices preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in 3-month in-house training program.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in weekend on-call rotation.
  • Exhibits sound judgment and maintains composure under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.

Pay Range: $21.96 - $31.99

COMPETITIVE DIFFERENTIALS RATES
