Contingent OB Scrub Tech - Birthing Center
Location: Trinity Health Livonia Hospital
Employment Type: Contingent
Join our Remarkable Care Team!
We are seeking a Contingent OB Scrub Tech to support surgical procedures in the Birthing Center. Under the direction of the RN circulator, you will assist surgeons by preparing and maintaining a sterile field, handling instruments, and ensuring optimal aseptic technique.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare operating room and surgical instruments per case requirements.
  • Assist during procedures by providing instruments, sponges, sutures, and medications.
  • Maintain sterile field and participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
  • Support room turnover and transport instruments/supplies as needed.
  • Communicate patient care information to the surgical team.

Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Surgical Technology OR specialized Armed Forces training OR 2+ years experience as a Surgical Technician.
  • Surgical Technician Certification preferred
  • Current BLS Certification.
