Job description

Transform Lives as an Occupational Therapist in the Vibrant Heart of Northwest Ohio
Overview
Are you an eager Occupational Therapist dedicated to empowering patients to regain their independence and enhance their quality of life? If you're seeking to make a profound difference while nurturing your career in a city renowned for its artistic personality, inclusive culture, and scenic lakeside landscape - this is your opportunity.
We are in search of a full-time, licensed OTR/L to become part of a creative and supportive therapy team that cherishes innovation, collaboration, and meaningful results. Whether you're an experienced clinician or just embarking on your professional journey, this role provides the chance to engage in impactful work in a dynamic environment.
Job Description
  • Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' unique needs and develop tailored therapeutic strategies to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive function, and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Engage closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver holistic and integrated care.
  • Guide Patients and Families: Provide education on therapy techniques and strategies to aid patients' recovery at home.
  • Track and Adjust Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt treatment plans to ensure patients remain on their path to recovery.
Education
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Ongoing education and advanced certifications welcomed and supported.
Certifications
  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required.
Skills
  • A deep-rooted passion for aiding individuals in achieving their highest level of independence.
  • Empathetic communication skills with both patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Smarts and adaptability to creatively modify plans to accommodate diverse patient needs.
  • Confidence in working autonomously and as an integral part of a cohesive interdisciplinary team.
Benefits
  • Camaraderie-driven, collaborative work environment with ample opportunities for advancement.
  • Flexible full-time schedules that can fit into your lifestyle.
  • Clinical mentorship and extensive professional development resources.
  • Access to state-of-the-art tools, facilities, and exceptional documentation systems.
  • Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and innovative projects.

Your Impact Here
In this role, you'll do more than treat physical limitations - you'll aid individuals in reclaiming cherished routines, rebuilding their confidence, and reigniting joy in life's everyday experiences. From guiding individuals recovering from strokes in fine motor rehabilitation to assisting orthopedic patients in regaining mobility after procedures, you'll utilize your expertise to deliver person-centered care that strengthens resilience and independence.
This isn't just another job. It's a setting where each patient embodies a unique journey, and every therapy session is an essential chapter in their personal story of recovery. Collaboration will be key as you partner with fellow therapists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to co-develop rehabilitation plans that are as individual as the patients themselves.
Why You'll Embrace Our Team - and the City That Inspires It
We take pride in what we've created here. Our rehab team goes beyond traditional expectations, championing each other, exchanging knowledge, and celebrating milestones together, ranging from patient recoveries to personal successes. You'll find yourself in a workplace that values your voice, nurtures your growth, and makes your contributions evident each day.
And then there's the backdrop: Toledo, Ohio, a city that surprises and delights at every turn. With its charming neighborhoods, beautiful parks, and proximity to stunning waterfronts, Toledo is the perfect tapestry of urban energy and natural beauty. Explore vibrant arts districts, feast on diverse culinary offerings, and enjoy community events that bring people together in celebration.
Toledo's cultural scene is rich with museums, galleries, and performance venues, where creativity flourishes alongside innovation. Enjoy local dining gems and shops, fostering connections with fellow residents in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reminds you of the value of community engagement.
Who We Seek
We're looking for someone who perceives occupational therapy as a vocation filled with purpose, not merely a career. Someone who finds joy when a patient regains use of their hand, takes steps toward independence, or tells a long-suppressed story for the first time.
Whether you're an accomplished OTR/L or a promising newcomer just starting your journey, you'll find your niche here if you embody heart, determination, and humility. If you resonate with the idea of merging exceptional patient care with a gratifying lifestyle - you've found your calling.
Join Us in Making a Difference - Together
This is your call to become part of something larger than a mere job title. Here, your efforts will influence lives, spur recoveries, and renew what was once lost. And you'll have the opportunity to do it in a region celebrated for its unique blend of vibrancy and tranquility.
So if you're eager to grow, contribute, and immerse yourself in a community that values care and connection - we can't wait to meet you.
