Job Title: Retail Sales Associate, aka Budtender

Reports to: Store Manager
Job Type: Full-time
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Compensation range: $19.00 - $19.50 (hourly)

Position Summary:
The Silver Stem Fine Cannabis (SSFC) Retail Sales Associate Budtender is a crucial role, representing Silver Stem on the retail level and serving as the face of our brand. As the primary employee interacting with our patrons, you have the power to leave a lasting impression. Your shared goal is to guide our patrons to fully enjoy their experience, gain knowledge of our products and other cannabis accessories, and ultimately return to our establishments in the future. You also play a crucial role in maintaining functionality, efficiency, and fluidity throughout the store and among all levels of SSFC staff, the corporate team, vendors, and others.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • All Front Desk Associate duties and responsibilities
  • Patient intake (Dual-use and medical licensed locations only)
  • Greet and assist customers, vendors, and visitors in a friendly and helpful manner following check-in protocol
  • Proper phone and email etiquette
  • Complete knowledge of our Silver Seeds membership program and its benefits
  • Complete understanding of our Primary Patient Program and its benefits
  • Understand and fully utilize SSFC's Point of Sale (POS) system, Flowhub
  • Opening and Closing procedures
  • Accurately handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash register
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adding products into virtual shopping carts in the POS and adhering to state-mandated daily sales limit
  • Provide product recommendations and educate customers on cannabis products
  • Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products
  • Adhere to SSFC policies and procedures
  • Assist with the completion of daily store operations
  • Assist with daily inventory audit procedures
  • Maintaining knowledge of company security requirements

Essential qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of different cannabis strains and products
  • Experience working in a retail or customer service environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Knowledge of essential computer functions and ability to learn how to use various software and programs
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have obtained a valid Employee Badge from the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division before the date of hire
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. individually
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods
