Job description

Position summary: Entry level position responsible for assisting with right of way projects. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conduct title research
  • Prepares land acquisition forms
  • Establish current market value of subject land
  • Complete noncomplex negotiations with landowners to secure properties through purchase, donation, or condemnation
  • Complete non-complex relocation assistance work as required in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, As amended (Uniform Act)
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, project estimates, purchase orders, specifications, and drafts contract documents for projects

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • BS or BA degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field 
  • Valid GA Real Estate Salesperson License; OR in the process of obtaining; OR ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
  • GA Appraisal License
  • Real estate experience, familiarity with titles, real estate documents, and legal descriptions
  • Land use and acquisition courses

Working Conditions

Some work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Significant field work (50% or more) is required where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.

Work location is flexible but travel throughout the state of Georgia will be required for the job.
