TheFirst Year Experience (FYE)Coordinatorreports directly to theTRIODirector of Student Support Servicesand serves to create, support, andfacilitatestudent engagement for our TRIO SSS and SSS STEM first-year students.FYECoordinatorwilloverseesignificant aspects of the first-year experience, including chairing the First-Year ExperienceAdvisoryCommittee,develop andmaintainthe First-Year ExperienceCanvas course, andisresponsible forthe hiring, training, andevaluation ofFirst-Year Experience Student Leaders, the Communications Intern, and SummerStudent Ambassadors.The FYECoordinatorwill alsoparticipateinrecruiting,identifying, and enrolling eligible studentsduring UW Oshkosh's Titan Takeoff Orientationsalong with supporting SSS and SSS STEMAcademicAdvisors and theStudentSuccessCoach withpersistence,retentionand graduation initiatives of the programs.The FYE Coordinatorwilloversee TRIO SSSandSSS STEM program communication and socialmediaas well asmaintaincurrent andaccurateprogram filestobe incompliance withthefederal regulations and college policies.

5%Support the programobjectivesof theTRIOSSS/SSS STEM Grantbyassisting torecruit eligible students into the program and obtain documentation to verify program eligibility.Be an advocate for first-generation and limited-income students by servingon campus committees andparticipatingin campus events and activitiesthat support ourTRIOSSS/SSS STEM students.
35%Responsible forthe planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating afirst-year experienceprogram aimed at increasing the engagement, persistence, retention, and success of new studentsparticipatinginthe TRIO SSS and SSS STEM programs.
30% Recruits, hires, and manages the First-Year Experience Student LeadersandtheStudent Ambassadorsto include supervisory responsibilities for the following:
