POSITION SUMMARY

To maintainequipment used to produceSteelscape's world-class steel products usingpreventative maintenance andtroubleshooting abilitiesinAC/DC electrical, PLC and instrumentationwith minimal guidance,while specializing inpneumatic, hydraulicand mechanical systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Locates source of trouble in any type ofmechanicalequipment or apparatus by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for mechanical failure. Dismantles, inspects, repairs, replaces or adjusts faulty parts onmechanical equipmentincludingbut not limited togears, reducers, pulleys, belts, sprockets, chains, bearings, shafts, and cables. Rebuild and restore mechanical components including draining, flushing, and filling lubrication, and bench testing equipment prior toinstallation or placement in storeroom. Obtains working knowledge necessary for troubleshooting and servicing allmechanicalequipment associated with the facility. Analyzes all types of instrumentation drawings, combustion safety drawings, systems piping and wiring diagrams, charts and graphs. Fabricates parts, as required, using shop machines and hand tools. Safely operateconstruction equipment such as forklifts, carts, overhead cranes, etc. Drive to achieve'Level1'MechanicalQualifications within 90 days of hire,'Level 2' within1 year of hire, Level 3' within 2 years of hire, and 'Level 4' within 4 years of hire.Electricalqualifications are notrequired butachieving'Level 2' will greatly contribute to success in this role. Adhere to Steelscape Safety standards, including following all LO/TO requirements. Information gathering andcontributiontowardelimination of major breakdowns. Log work performed, hours worked, and parts used for allmaintenance workintoSAP.

OTHERDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Makeelectricalrepairs to equipment being serviced, including the replacement, repair and installation offuses,switches,lights,motors,etc. Completion of Planned and Preventative Maintenance work assigned by the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to strive for 95% Compliance. Assist in maintaining operational readiness and cleanliness of all shop equipment. Assist in the general housekeeping and organization of the parts storeroom.

EDUCATIONand/orEXPERIENCE

Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Preferred education as a CertifiedMillwrightor equivalenttraining/degree from a technical vocational institution.Required twoyearsofexperiencein Maintenanceon a continuous metal processing line with equipmentlikea galvanizing or paint coating linewithpreferredexperience asaMillwright.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals,hydraulic /pneumaticschematics, fabrication specificationsand drawings.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLSandABILITIES

Must possess basic knowledgein processcomputer-controlledequipment and plant maintenance knowledge inmechanicalcomponents and theory, combustion, steam and heat.

Salary Range: The estimated hourly rate of pay for this position is $44.31 per hour. Actual base pay will be determined based on an individual's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is eligible for a 401(k) savings plan, comprehensive healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), and other generous rewards.
