Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Steel Fitter to join our team at M&J Steel, LLC. This role is ideal for individuals looking to excel in the steel fabrication and fitting industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpret drawings and specification; cut, shape and assemble steel components.
  • Install structural steel on-site and conduct quality checks.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three plus years in fabrication or a related field.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment.
  • Understanding of tools and equipment used in metalworking and fabrication.

Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with hand tools and basic power tools used in steel fabrication.
  • Understanding of welding processes and techniques (MIG).
