- Assist in the assembly and installation of pre-engineered metal building systems, including structural framing, wall panels, and roof components.
- Identify, handle, and safely operate tools, equipment, and materials used in steel erection and metal building installation.
- Support senior erectors and crew members with layout, alignment, and connection of building components.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations while performing job duties.
- Help prepare job sites, organize materials, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Participate in rigging operations and guide loads during crane or equipment lifts under supervision.
- Perform general labor tasks including bolting, fastening, sealing, and assisting with sheet metal work.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient project progress and quality workmanship.
Position Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience:
- Some experience in general construction required.
- Minimal experience in steel erection or metal building systems preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction safety procedures and site awareness.
Physical Requirements:
- Position may involve standing, climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, and working at heights based on job demand.
- Work may involve occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work is primarily performed outdoors with varying weather conditions, elevated work surfaces, noise, and construction related hazards.
