Position Summary:
As a Structural Steel Ironworker at EZARC, Inc., you will be responsible for assembling and erecting steel structures, including beams, columns, joists, decking, and assembly and installation of Unistrut support systems. You will work at heights, read blueprints and erection drawings, and collaborate with site supervisors and crane operators to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient installation of structural steel components.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Erect structural steel framework using cranes, rigging, and hand tools
  • Assembly and installation of Unistrut support systems
  • Align, bolt, and weld steel components per project specifications and drawings
  • Install steel decking, joists, bridging, and other support elements
  • Use fall protection systems, harnesses, and other PPE correctly at all times
  • Interpret erection drawings and layout instructions
  • Signal crane operators and guide loads into place safely and accurately
  • Perform rigging and hoisting operations
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and materials daily for safe operation
  • Collaborate with foremen, welders, and project teams to meet schedule and quality standards
  • Follow EZARC safety protocols, OSHA standards, and site-specific requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of structural steel erection experience preferred (will consider apprenticeship-level or less-experienced workers with strong fundamentals)
  • Strong understanding of rigging, bolting, and erection techniques
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying outdoor conditions
  • Ability to read and interpret erection and shop drawings
  • Comfortable working as part of a team in fast-paced construction environments
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs., climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to job sites in the Phoenix area
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

Work Environment:
  • Outdoor construction sites in various stages of development
  • Work at heights with scaffolds, lifts, and steel structures
  • Use of power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery
  • Full PPE required at all times
