* Must be a US Citizen and ability to travel regionally
Key responsibilities
Structural steel field project manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of structural steel projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet specifications. Key duties include managing project schedules, budgets, and contracts; coordinating with clients, engineers, fabricators, and field teams; reviewing shop and erection drawings; and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Project planning and management: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from start to finish.
  • Document and contract management: Manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Drawing and fabrication oversight: Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans to ensure they comply with project requirements and facilitate smooth fabrication and installation.
  • Safety and quality assurance: Implement and enforce safety plans and procedures on the job site and manage quality control processes.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve project challenges and issues as they arise.
  • Financial oversight: Monitor job costs, manage billing and invoicing, and ensure timely payments.
  • Team leadership: Mentor project staff and foster a positive team environment.
