Structural Site Supervisor Company Overview

Role Summary

The Structural Site Supervisor assists the Field Crew Coordinator in developing strategies to maximize safety, quality and productivity. In addition, the Structural Site Supervisor will review, analyze, plan, coordinate and lead all activities within the construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate and assign work in production locations as per schedule requirements.
  • Monitors product standards and maintains quality-control programs.
  • Assure adequate materials, tools and equipment are available for construction.
  • Coordinate sub-contractors’ activities and materials to meet schedule requirements.
  • Assures adequate materials, tools and equipment are available for construction.
  • Coordinate movement of units and stacking.
  • Ensure that project procedures are followed, project correspondence and documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Completes project progress reports as required.
  • Oversees and maintains safety system and ensures that customer’s requirements are met.
  • Conducts and documents daily/weekly safety meetings.
  • Ensures Task Hazard Analysis (THA) cards are completed as necessary.
  • Conducts incident investigations, documents and submits incident reporting to Field Crew Coordinator in a timely manner.
  • Provides training and support to employees.
  • Assists in motivating construction staff, when necessary.
  • Verifies and approves all construction workers’ time sheets.
  • Organizes daily toolbox discussions and reviews task hazard analysis.
  • Knows, understands and follows PTW’s Code of Conduct and employment policies, rules and regulations.
  • Complies with standards and procedures of PTW’s health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Previous experience in a steel cladding installation and/or construction environment preferred.
  • Must have Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) training.
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) training an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • A good working knowledge of Building Codes and materials for pre-engineered steel structures.
  • Strong affinity for providing a safe environment for all field employees, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Positive and energetic person with a strong affinity for working well in a team environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in a clear, concise and confident manner.
  • Exceptional time-management skills; ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable with exposure to outside elements.
  • Must have CSA approved safety boots.
  • Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation
