Steel Fabrication | DOT Market | Full-Time About Us:
We are a small but growing steel fabrication company specializing in the manufacturing of structural steel products for the Department of Transportation (DOT) and infrastructure markets. Our work supports critical transportation projects, and we take pride in producing safe, high-quality fabricated steel products that meet demanding customer and industry standards.
We are seeking a motivated Junior Production Supervisor to help lead daily shop operations and support our continued growth. This position is ideal for a hands-on fabrication professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop into a key member of our production leadership team.
Position Overview
The Senior Production Supervisor will assist in managing daily fabrication operations, coordinating workflow, supporting shop employees, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.  This is a hands on position working position.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with experience in steel fabrication and or construction, who can balance production demands with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide daily supervision of steel fabrication shop operations
● Coordinate production activities to meet project schedules and customer requirements
● Review job priorities and help assign work to fabrication personnel
● Monitor workflow, material availability, and production progress
● Support compliance with DOT project requirements, quality standards, and documentation processes
● Interpret shop drawings
● Identify production challenges and assist in implementing solutions
● Promote a strong safety culture and safe work practices
● Support training and development of shop employees
● Assist with continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
● 3+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, carpentry or industrial manufacturing
● Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and shop operations
● Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
● Experience with DOT, bridge, structural steel, or infrastructure-related fabrication is a plus
● Previous lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred
● Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
● Ability to communicate effectively with production teams and management
● Commitment to safety, quality, and meeting customer expectations
