Steel erector iron workers are skilled tradespeople who assemble and install the structural steel frameworks for buildings, bridges, and other large structures. They work with steel beams, columns, and girders, using cranes and other equipment to lift and position the materials. Their job involves reading blueprints, ensuring proper alignment, and securing steel components using bolts or welding. Safety is a major concern, as much of their work is performed at significant heights. Steel erector iron workers are essential to the construction industry and typically receive specialized training or apprenticeships.
