Job description

Epsilon is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by us or others.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, or industrial production or processing systems.
  • Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use, and lay out the sequence of tasks
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves and fittings
  • Join pipe sections, related equipment and secure in position
  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks
  • Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools

and various power tools.
  • Willing to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
  • Must be a Pipe Fitter/Steamfitter Journeyman by trade
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years industrial experience is preferred
  • Must be able to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck
  • Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
  • Able to work independently or as a team player
  • Able to take direction and communicate with others
  • Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented
  • Employ a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization
