Job description

Premier Health is seeking a minimally Invasive Spine Surgeon capable of taking general call, to join their rapidly growing, comprehensive neuroscience institute. The new candidate will enjoy a robust clinical practice. Join a team of specialty trained neurosurgeons.

  • Varian TrueBeam at MVH
  • 3T MRI
  • Epic System for Electronic Medical Records
  • Stryker and Stealth Navigation, O-Arm
  • 20 bed Neuro-ICU with 24-hour neurocritical care service
  • Busy clinical practice including skull base neurosurgery, neurosurgical oncology, radiosurgery and general cranial
  • Protected time for research including basic science, translational and clinical
  • New Neurosurgery lab at Wright State University (only 15 minutes from MVH)
  • Countless opportunities to do spine outcomes research
  • Position will include an academic appointment at Boonshoft School of Medicine
  • Case mix would be 85% spine and 15% cranial 
  • Elective case mix would be at the surgeon's discretion
  • Elective practice will be supported with providers clinic APP
  • Robust employed referral network --Primary care providers number in network
  • All provider numbers in network should be listed
  • Call would be 1/7 with robust APP coverage, in the OR and rounding/consults and for orders and notes 
  • 24/7 APP in house coverage providing the first call 
  • Dedicated Neurosurgery call room
  • Neurointensivist coverage present
  • Trauma Service, Hospitalist Service, Intensivist Service primary admitting services - only admissions are elective patients with hospitalist medical management
  • Latest Technology - 4 Oarms, 6 Stealth stations, Mazor Robot
  • Integrated Epic EMR in clinic and in hospital
  • 2 MRI's 
  • 24/7 OR PA call teams
