We are Harper College...the college in your community.
The College was established by referendum in 1965 and opened September 1967. It is named for Dr. William Rainey Harper, a pioneer in the junior college movement in the United States and the first president of the University of Chicago.

The Academic Support Center provides assistance in the anatomy room, developmental math canter, success services for students, supplemental instruction, tutoring center and writing center.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required; previous experience teaching at least 30 semester hours of undergraduate or graduate mathematics required; knowledge of TI graphing calculators, and familiarity with instructional technology preferred.

Duties of Position: 
Tutor higher level Statistics and Mathematics, including statistics, probability, and several levels of calculus.

Demonstrate subject proficiency

Assist students in understanding subject material

Know basic study techniques

Maintain records of students tutored  

Other duties as assigned.
