Job description


Learn about an actuarial career by assisting SCOR's Group Life and Accident Reinsurance actuaries with pricing, risk management and financial reporting work. Primary focus is expected to be in risk management as we monitor concentrations within our Group Life and Accident portfolio.
Opportunity to work approximately 12-16 hours per week during the school year and full time during the Summer as part of SCOR's U.S. Internship Program. Flexible, hybrid work schedule allows Interns to gain valuable professional experience balanced with the individual's specific school schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Support the actuaries and underwriters through active participation in projects and meetings
  • Communicate and collaborate with other SCOR employees, both in Minneapolis and globally, to successfully complete projects and team goals
  • Assist with concentration data management
  • Assist in research to supplement pricing and risk management where needed
  • Prepare project related reports and presentations
  • Other actuarial related activities in support of the team

Qualifications
  • Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar field.
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam.

Pay Range for roles performed in Minneapolis: $26.00-$28.00 hourly rate. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement saving plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
