Job Description:
Position Summary
The Procurement Specialist supports the University's purchasing and sourcing operations by procuring goods and services in compliance with institutional policies, public procurement regulations, and best practices. The role collaborates with internal departments and suppliers to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement activities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage procurement and purchasing activities for goods and services.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Conduct supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection.
- Support RFQ, RFP, and bid solicitation processes.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and vendor agreements.
- Maintain procurement records and contract documentation.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable procurement regulations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to meet operational and project purchasing needs.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Assist with spend analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or contract management experience.
- Experience in Higher Education, Government, Public Sector, or other regulated environments preferred.
- Knowledge of public procurement and competitive bidding processes.
