Position summary: The Receiving Team Member handles incoming shipments, verifies inventory accuracy and inspects product for damage. Key responsibilities include unloading delivery trucks, comparing packing slips to purchase orders and updating stock records.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Accept incoming freight from delivery trucks using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork for incoming inventory.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage.
  • Report missing or broken items to manager.
  • Place incoming products onto shelves, racks or in designated warehouse zones maintaining organization.
  • Drives forklift safely, according to all applicable laws.
  • Coordinate distribution process with various departments.
  • Monitor freight movement using various computer software applications.
  • Assists with material handling and truck loading when needed.
  • May use various types of hand tools and power tools.
  • Hours may vary based on business need.
  • Continuously works in a manner to ensure safety of self and others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
